About Trusted Direct Call

Trusted Direct Call is an exceptional call forwarding service innovated by Followo. It allows users to make international calls as like local calls, in terms of calling cost and calling habit. Users use a pre-registered phone to dial a local number published by Followo, and then the call is routed to a destination number pre-defined by user.

Followo publishes phone numbers for various countries to favor users’ access. These numbers are called Bus-Numbers and shared among all users. Prior to being able to use the service, users must register their phones against a local Bus-Number; and tell the system about the destination number which is to be forwarded. Afterwards, when a call is dialed from a registered phone to its associated Bus-Number, the call is then routed to the pre-defined destination number via IP (Internet Protocol), and all other calls from un-trusted numbers are discarded. In most cases, users like to define the destination numbers as international numbers to ultimate cost savings.

Regarding to the calling cost, user will be responsible for the cost from a registered phone to its associated Bus-Number, which is usually a local call and charged by local phone carrier; and the cost of IP-based call-forwarding from Bus-Number to destination number, which is charged by Followo at very low rate, for example, if the destination is a U.S. number, the call rate is as low as $0.02cent/minute. Users may register several numbers as Trusted-Numbers for each Bus-Number, but will be ringing to a single destination number. In order to call different destinations, users have to register their phones against different Bus-Numbers.

Comparing to GLocal number service, Trusted Direct Call does not require users to purchase any virtual numbers
